At Freedom Reins Farm, our promising breeding pair—Dip and Dottie—are already winning hearts as they grow and thrive under our careful management. We are incredibly excited to watch their journey unfold and look forward to the beautiful, healthy cria they will produce in the seasons ahead.
We raise alpacas at Freedom Reins Farm for their luxurious, sustainable fiber and their highly valued “black gold” manure. Their soft fleece is shorn annually for use in quality fiber products, while their nutrient-rich manure naturally enriches our pastures and gardens—supporting our commitment to gentle, sustainable farm practices.

At Freedom Reins Farm, our Katahdin flock is led by our four lovely ewes—Prudence, Piper, Phoebe, and Paige—alongside our striking black ram, Zar, and our sweet wether, Cole. Each member of the flock plays an important role in our program, and their calm temperaments and hardy Katahdin traits make them a wonderful fit for our working homestead.

We raise our sheep with purpose and care, using their rich milk to create wholesome dairy goods and nourishing skincare products for our homestead and future customers. As our breeding program grows, we also offer select lambs for show-quality homes, helping other families and farms build strong, beautiful Katahdin lines.

At Freedom Reins Farm, our Kunekune herd is full of personality and charm. Our four sweet sows—Galinda, Elphaba, Nessa Rose, and Madame Morrible—are joined by our friendly little barrow, Boq. Known for their gentle nature and grazing ability, our Kunekunes are raised with daily hands-on care, plenty of space to roam, and lots of love from our family and students.

We raise our Kunekunes to support our homestead in a responsible, respectful way. Some pigs are carefully grown for our family’s meat needs using calm, humane handling practices that prioritize comfort and low stress at every stage. We also offer select piglets to approved homes for show or breeding, helping other farms enjoy this wonderful heritage breed.
