Rachel Mounts

Owner, Riding Instructor, Office Manager

From her very first pony ride at age five, Rachel knew she belonged in the saddle. Beginning her training at a traditional English barn, she soon discovered her true passion for western riding at the age of ten and has never looked back. By her teenage years, Rachel was competing in local rodeos on the weekends and guiding trail rides at Tri Star Farms during the week, where she gained valuable experience in horsemanship, trail management, and rider safety.
After high school, life led Rachel on a new adventure — marrying her husband, Aiden, and embracing the role of Army wife and mother. Though she briefly stepped away from the equestrian world, her love for horses never faded. During the pandemic, the dream of Freedom Reins Farm & Riding School was born.
Over the next several years, Rachel dedicated herself to building the skills and foundation needed to make that dream a reality. She worked as a veterinary assistant and technician, a customer service representative in a major medical facility, and later as both a horseback riding instructor and volunteer program coordinator at a therapeutic riding center in Texas.
Balancing motherhood, homeschooling three wonderful boys, and a deep-rooted calling to share the healing power of horses, Rachel’s vision came to life. In 2026, she proudly opens the gates of Freedom Reins Farm & Riding School — a place where riders of all ages can learn, grow, and experience the magic of the equine connection.

Aiden Mounts

Owner, US Army Veteran & Director of Security

A proud U.S. Army veteran and devoted family man, Aiden brings strength, integrity, and heart to Freedom Reins Farm & Riding School. Raised in the country, he grew up helping his parents tend the family garden and spending weekends in the woods on hunting trips, learning lessons that shaped his deep respect for hard work, nature, and family tradition.
Aiden served six years in the United States Army, with a deployment to Kuwait and assignments in Ft Hood, Texas, South Korea and at Fort Benning, Georgia. His military background in leadership and security provides the foundation for his role overseeing daily operations and safety across the farm.
After years of travel and service, Aiden is thrilled to be back home in the South, building a life rooted in peace, purpose, and community. His greatest joy is sharing the serenity of Freedom Reins Farm with his sons Ian, Dalton and Jack, creating a place where they can experience the same calm and connection to nature that he values so deeply.

Mr. Kolby

Director of Ranch Operations

With a background in electrical work, general management, and all things mechanical, Kolby is the go-to problem solver at Freedom Reins Farm & Riding School. Whether it’s repairing equipment, maintaining fencing, or improving the property’s infrastructure, Kolby’s skill set keeps the farm running smoothly day in and day out.
Before joining the Freedom Reins team, Kolby spent years as a licensed electrician and hands-on manager, developing a reputation for reliability, leadership, and attention to detail. But his connection to farm life runs much deeper — some of his fondest memories are from his grandmother’s farm, where he first learned the value of hard work and living close to the land.
A longtime friend of Rachel and Aiden for over fifteen years, Kolby was among the first to believe in the dream of Freedom Reins Farm. Now, as Director of Ranch Operations he’s proud to help bring that dream to life — combining craftsmanship, country roots, and camaraderie to make the farm a true community treasure.
